Our Vision
The vision of the Mighty Maddy Foundation is simple. We want to keep Maddy’s spirit and light alive and shining while bringing joy and love to others as they face incredibly hard battles. Our foundation helps local families lessen some of burden and weight when caring for a child with a life threatening illness.
We have big plans on ways to give back to those in need but we can’t do it without you. Your donations are so important and make big impacts on the families we touch. As a mom who was graced by foundations just like ours during Maddy’s fight, every single cent matters. We were blessed beyond measure and now it is our turn to bless others.
For the last 6 years, we have dedicated our hearts to generously giving back to local non-profits that are making big impacts in our communities. Unravel Pediatric Cancer is a non-profit that raises funds for pediatric cancer research. Maddy was incredibly passionate about this organization and she truly believed her cure was coming. It just didn’t come in time. We are so excited to be able to use the Mighty Maddy Foundation to continue to help support this amazing organization as well as families that are in need.
Philanthropy
After Maddy passed, I had an ache in my heart so deep it’s hard to put actual words to the pain. And there was so much empty space swirling in my head that used to be filled with medications, appointments, infusions, the list goes on. In the very early hours of one morning, I envisioned starting a business based on all of Maddy’s favorite things and share her spirit with others. Platters with Purpose was born out of that idea. We offer custom charcuterie boards, chocolate covered strawberries and a variety of baked goods. Everything is homemade and most importantly, a reflection of Maddy and what she loved. The most exciting part of our business is that a portion of every sale is donated to Unravel Pediatric Cancer. That’s how deeply we believe in their mission, our mission, and actively giving back.
